Associate Director of Strategy and Enterprise
Chris joined Cause4 in January 2024 as Associate Director of Strategy and Enterprise. Prior to joining Cause 4, he held mid-to-senior-level leadership roles for several charities and social enterprises - both within the UK and abroad - primarily focusing on income generation and diversification.
Most previously, Chris worked at the Homelessness Charity, Crisis, where - as the Strategic Partnerships Lead, he led the income strategy tasked with raising a £20m philanthropic venture fund. Prior to this, Chris worked for the charity, The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), where he led the Development Team on funding approaches, along with programme design and delivery worth over £1m. Elsewhere, Chris held the position of Global Fundraising and Partnerships Lead for the ‘Worlds Big Sleep Out' - a campaign that raised over £40m for various global homeless and displacement charities. Chris has wide-ranging experience within the charity sector, including building effective relationships with corporate partners; the creation and implementation of fundraising strategies, capital campaigns and employee engagement initiatives; charity retail; major donor engagement plans; and the writing of bids and proposals to trusts and foundations.
Chris holds a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science from St Georges University London and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising. He is passionate about the delivery of first-aid training to underserved, marginalised and vulnerable groups throughout the UK, and serves as a community resuscitation advisor to the British Heart Foundation and Resuscitation Council UK.
