The challenge
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity that exists to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer throughout the UK. Set up in 2008, the charity works to save lives and to help some 7,000 women diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in the UK each year, helping them to live their lives to the fullest. Target Ovarian Cancer was seeking support to diversify its income streams and generate additional income through a new major giving scheme.

Developed and implemented a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including a new major donor and legacy programme
Developed a clear and bold case for support, suggesting development of an innovative new campaign which emerged into It’s time to Take Ovar
Developed and submitted successful trust and foundation applications
Results
Supported raising £398,000 from the Peter Sowerby Foundation
Supported raising £150,000 from a fundraising event with major donors
Initiated the structure behind the launch of a successful campaign – It’s time to Take Ovar
