Fundraising & philanthropy
We work with charities across a range of sectors, creating Cases for Support, developing and implementing new strategies and creating new models for corporate and individual philanthropy.
We raise funds directly from statutory sources, trusts, individuals, corporates and earned income streams.
Since 2009 we have raised almost £60million for national charities, local community organisations, and new ventures, and have supported charities including the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Aesop, St Paul’s Cathedral School and Museum of the Home to revitalise their strategic direction and ensure financial sustainability.
In 2020, 100% of our clients said that the work we delivered met their needs and objectives and was of a high quality. We evaluate every piece of client work, from small to large, so we can continuously learn and improve.
Case Study: Making Space
Cause4 supported Making Space to create a new fundraising strategy and a compelling Case for Support, as well as upskilling the team in fundraising implementation.
Making Space is a community-based, professional craft organisation in Hampshire that creates opportunities for people to discover and develop design skills and increase personal wellbeing. Making Space was seeking support to develop a new fundraising strategy to increase its resilience and ensure its continued ability to support its local community. Cause4 worked closely with Making Space in:
- Developing a fundraising strategy with appropriate targets for fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, Corporates, Individuals and University Partners, helping Making Space to move towards a position of financial resilience.
- Producing a compelling Case for Support to be used to develop applications to funders, highlighting the impact of Making Space’s work and its importance within the local community.
- Delivering a workshop for the Making Space team around the new strategy, and training key staff in the essentials of fundraising.
