Ben Wilson
Director of Development and Enterprise
Ben joined Cause4 in May 2010 on our Entrepreneurship Training Programme and is now Director of Development and Enterprise. Prior to this, Ben spent two years working in marketing, advising start-ups on their social media strategies. Ben’s experience in the charity and social enterprise sector includes strategic development, leading and running campaigns, facilitating corporate approaches, writing bid proposals and developing online and social media strategies.
At Cause4 Ben has developed expertise across arts, education, social enterprise and sport. Ben holds an MA in International Security and Terrorism, and a BA Hons. in Politics from the University of Nottingham and has an Institute of Fundraising Diploma with merit. Ben has extensive experience of working across the charity sector, devising successful strategies and compelling propositions that have garnered substantial support and increased the income of Cause4’s clients.
Ben has developed and implemented several successful fundraising strategies, meeting targets and leveraging funds from Trusts and Foundations, individuals and corporates.
Ben leads on Cause4 work with organisations to set up registered charities with the Charity Commission, as well as providing strategic advice on the different charitable vehicles available to organisations.
Ben is also a Trustee of the Philanthropy Foundation, an organisation that manages charitable funds on behalf of third parties, both individual and corporate.
